A delegation of four cadets and a head of delegation from the Maldives National Cadet Corps (MNCC) has participated in the prestigious Republic Day Camp 2025 in New Delhi, India. The event, which ran from January 15th to 30th, brought together young cadets from 18 nations as part of India's International Cadet Exchange Programme.

The Maldivian representatives, chosen through a competitive selection process, underwent thorough preparation with a 10-day training program in Malé before departing for New Delhi. The delegation consisted of two male and two female cadets.

During their stay in India, the Maldivian cadets engaged in several high-profile events, including memorable meetings with Indian dignitaries such as the President, Defence Minister, and Chief of the Army. A significant highlight was their participation in the Prime Minister's Rally, where they proudly represented Maldives alongside their international peers.

The camp provided a platform for cultural exchange, with the Maldivian delegation showcasing their nation's rich heritage through performances and presentations. They shared this cultural stage with cadets from diverse nations including Mongolia, Singapore, Bhutan, Seychelles, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Mauritius, Vietnam, Fiji, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Mozambique, Malaysia, Nepal, and India.

Educational excursions formed an essential part of the program, with visits to iconic landmarks such as the Taj Mahal, India Gate, and War Memorial. These trips, guided by liaison officers, offered the cadets insights into India's historical legacy while fostering international friendships.

The culmination of the camp saw the Maldivian cadets participating in the Republic Day Parade, a prestigious event attended by thousands of distinguished guests from around the world. This experience not only enhanced their understanding of military discipline but also strengthened international cadet relations.
